About me

I grew up around entrepreneurs, in fact, my family owned a soul food restaurant for almost 50 years, food has been a major part of my life. With roots all the way from Cuba, Alabama; I developed my love of cooking from my grandmother and my mother. Growing up I stayed close to them both and learned how important food was to me. Throughout the years as I grew up and created my own family, I also begin to add my own touches to traditionally made southern dishes. As you explore my menus you will see that I have a combination of soul food, Itialian, and Mexican dishes. Every dish is inspired by friends and family.

In 2017, with the birth of my second child I decided to take the leap and start my own catering business. When my grandmother, who was my mentor and my best friend passed away in 2018, allowed me to put some fire behind me and really get serious about my business. While trying to start business with children, a husband, and one income has been difficult, I have done things I never thought I would do. In 2020 I became HUB certified in North Carolina, and certified MWBE for the City of Charlotte in 2024. 

With a B.S in Business Management from North Carolina A&T State University, MS in Leadership & Management, and a MBA I know the importance of good business practices and outstanding customer service. I will use my over 20 years of experience in business and customer service to ensure my customers are happy and satisfied. I hope to be a mentor to future entrepreneurs in the future.
